Ambra Hotel - Budapest

the room i booked was stocked and brand-new with the extra bed, a cell phone plus tv. the check in was early and the atmosphere was intimate throughout the hotel. competent and highly courteous employees at the reception desk, everything was nice.

The hotel was nice looking and reasonably priced. The staff was knowledgeable and location was amazing and incredible. For tea or coffee visit Bonbonier nearby. A well-stocked and well furnished room provided with an extra actual bed and big windows, for instance.

Excellent location, excellent service and frindly staff.The atmoshere of the room was nice and the bed was very confortable. :-)

Poor condition of the plumbing. Modest breakfast.

Friendly and helpful staffs. Adequate breakfast. 5 minutes walk to town. Value for money. Lots of free maps and brochures given during check-in. Shower was great - strong flow of water.

Hard to find (according to the taxi driver we took from the airport). Not really a 4-star but a 3-star hotel.

Hotel Ambra is a very charming and pleasant hotel indeed with friendly staff and excellant location. Was a little bit put off by the surrounding area (looked a bit shabby) at first arrival, but then soon realised it's actually a safe area and next to a main road. There is a 24-7 mini market immediately opposite the hotel which I really appreciated, and actually there are two supermarkets at the Octogon end of the road! Deak Ter Metro Station is at the other end of the road and is within walking distance. Opera House is very close as well. Breakfast is simple but sufficient, and I really appreciate to have honey to go with my bread! The breakfast area is open throughout the day so after a long long walk you can go there in the evening and have some chips and cold lemon water to relax, nice th9ught for guests! I've booked a room with extra space so it's quite large. The bed and pillows are comfortable for me as well. Wifi need a password that you'll need to ask the staff, but the connection is excellant (the best connection I got throughout my trip in Hungary!) a really good hotel that I may come again.

Perhaps some people will be disappointed by having so few tv channels available (and only one English channel) but it's ok for me actually. Instead I'm a bit disappointed to find there's only shower but not a bath tub cause I really want to take a relaxing bath after a whole day's long walk around the city.

The room is brand-new and stocked, the staff are patient people at the reception desk.

Comfortable room, friendly staff, with the excellent breakfast offering a diverse selection to start the day, and conveniently located just a 20-minute walk from the main transportation hub.

Nothing not to love.

Excelent. Great location (doesn't seem like at first sight). Nice and helpful personel, everyone speaks english. Very new furniture and bathroom. Very clean and very good breakfast buffet. Escelente. Muy buena localizacion (aunque no lo parezca en la primera impresion). Personal agradable y muy dispuestos a ayudar, hablan perfectamente ingles. El mobiliario y el bano son nuevos. Muy limpio y un desayuno buffet bien surtido.

We had the appartement and the room was big with 2 beds and a kitchen. Good breakfast. Free WiFi

Not many televisionchannels

We were impressed by unusual professionalism and competence of receptionists.

The room was spacious and cozy, but the television had limited channels.

They moved us to another hotel stating that "there is a plumbing problem in the room which could not bi fixed". This certainly was a cheap lie.

They chcanged our room immediately after our claim.

There was a noice in the room coming from the roof (probably ventilation)
